My approach

I will help you solve your legal dispute, by:

  • listening to you
  • providing practical clear advice and offering workable solutions
  • considering the best and most cost-effective way to resolve the matter
  • using mediation, alternative dispute resolution (ADR) and court processes to work towards the result you want

I work together with you and your other advisers to get the best outcome.

From the start, I will talk to you about costs.

I will try to keep you out of court, but if this is required, I am confident and skilled at representing you in the court room.

My background

I am an experienced family and civil litigator, and have appeared in the Family Court, High Court and Court of Appeal. I also work collaboratively with my clients using alternative dispute resolution processes such as mediation.

Prior to my role as a barrister, I was managing partner of Hollister-Jones Lellman (previously Ronayne Hollister-Jones Lellman). Before this, I was a litigation partner in another leading Tauranga firm.

I obtained my degree at the University in Auckland and worked at an Auckland law firm before moving to the beautiful Bay of Plenty over 30 years ago.

As a member of the Family Law Section of the NZ Law Society, I have regularly presented on specialist topics including relationship property, the Hague Convention, childcare and capacity issues.

I also contributed to the text Assessment of Mental Capacity: a New Zealand guide for Doctors and Lawyers

I am passionate about the Tauranga region and giving back, and about the people I represent.
